Our parents had taught us many things when we were young. Aside from saying “Mama” as our first word because our moms forced us to, they also taught us many “magic words.”
From the moment we learned to combine two words (like “want ball,” “want milk,” “play dog”), our parents taught us to say those magic words first. “Say ‘please’ first,” our moms would say. And only upon saying that magic word that they would let us play ball, drink milk, or play with the dog.
